Samsung’s new N230 netbook and PARK-BASED LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY!

Here’s a lovely photo story, in which two ladies go to the park to look at dog photographs on their new Samsung N230 “netbook” and mess around with bubbles.

samsung n230 netbook 1

Here they are on the way to the park. The practical one in the blue dress has brought something to sit on and some food, while the one in white is only bothered about going on the internet. She probably finds the one in the blue hard work.

samsung n230 netbook 2

No idea what they’re laughing about. In which order they’d wank off the England team to cheer them up? “Who’s last? WAYNE ROONEY! HA HA HA!”

samsung n230 netbook 3

Oh, she didn’t bring something to sit on, just a change of outfits. We suspect this sequence is designed to illustrate the N230’s 10.1-inch LED backlit anti-reflective display.

samsung n230 netbook 4

We have stopped paying attention to CPUs, so the Intel N450 this comes with means nothing. All we know is we went through a period of reviewing laptops for “work” about two years ago, and everything that had an Intel Atom inside it was rubbish.

Is this what women do?

XTREME PRODUCT HOLDING, Nokia N8 edition

Part of us hates the idea of helping a video clearly designed to “go viral” to actually go viral, but… it’s pretty good. Shame it’s man, though. Although given the level of skill and dexterity required it sort of had to be, IS THAT NOT RIGHT GENTLEMEN? EH? EH? EH?

“Some sort of Nokia bullshit with ‘Hand Freestyler’ Max Viassenk. Whatever next…” – Jody (man).

“MSI launches the Wind Top AE2400 All-In-One PC”

Hope that man is only an optional extra. It would be rather intrusive if you couldn’t take him off when you need to get some work done.

On the plus side, it’s nice to see MSI finally “editorialising” its promotional imagery. It usually sends out blank-screened images of laptops.

“Summer fun” promised by Samsung WP10 waterproof digital camera

Oh yes, you know the combination of “Samsung” and “waterproof camera” can only mean one thing…

It’s the Swimsuit Round!

Don’t panic, the pictures go bigger than this. We’re just using an alternate layout to get out of having to write individual captions for each one.

samsung wp 10 waterproof camera 2

Although, it shouldn’t be that hard writing captions when you’re allowed to use as many variations of the word “fluid” as you can think of.

samsung wp 10 waterproof camera 3

“Moist… wet… damp… dripping… spray… spraying… squirt… etc etc”

samsung wp 10 waterproof camera 5

Swimming in it. Here’s the official text:

Samsung announced on Jun. 14th the launch of its waterproof compact camera WP10 that boasts 12M pixels sensor, 5x optical zoom and 2.7-inch Intelligent LCD.

WP10 has a function of waterproof that withstands up to 3m in the water or dust for an hour. 2.7-inch Intelligent LCD on the back controls the screen brightness in response to changes in the surrounding illumination, allowing vivid images in water and land.

LG Mini and MULTIPLE INSTANCES of the word “mini”

The phone is called the LG Mini, the car is a Mini and those dresses are rather mini as well. Girl #3 and girl #5 from L-to-R are both also called Minnie, due to a rise in popularity of the Disney franchises in South Korea during the mid-1980s.

That it. Nice shoes. Wouldn’t complain about getting any of them in some sort of high-class ‘lucky dip’ competition late at night in an LG paid-for hotel suite.

APPLE PRETENDS TO INVENT: Video calling

Remember video calling? It was a minor fad in the year 2005, when a few high-end mobile phones came with two cameras on them because the mobile networks wanted to make billions of pounds out of us video calling each other for £6.99 per minute.

It didn’t catch on because we’re all actually quite ugly.

iphone 4 video calls

That’s not a problem in Apple’s MENTAL PRETEND LAND, where everyone’s got acceptable faces.

Apple’s WWDC 2010 innovations revealed

It looks like Apple is about to once again claim it’s invented something called a “folder”.

apple-wwdc-2010-folders

Sounds like a fantastic productivity tool! Imagine being able to group things together into a convenient “virtual” file. You could have a “folder” for music, a separate one for work… the possibilities are endless. Pic from here.

CELEBRITY HOLDING, featuring the LG Lotus Elite

LG has just held another celebrity-packed product launch event. It wasn’t as good as the vacuum cleaner one, but it did generate one good photograph:

jesse-metcalfe

Not this one. This one’s a warm up one of Jesse Metcalfe doing a pretend phonecall. This one’s here to make the next one seem nicer.

This one. Stacy Keibler. Holding it open.

The first UK Apple iPad buyer!

Oh dear. Apple should’ve done a better containment job of ensuring some cute little hipster in ballet shoes and ironic clothing got to the front of the queue. Not this.

This is a PR disaster. This won’t be in the Evening Standard tonight.
